Project 'Cube 2007

When you've got a cool project to do and you want to announce it to the world... why not start a blog?

This person made a huge subwoofer designed just like a Rubik's cube. Pretty awesome DIY project if you ask me!

THE BOOK DESIGN REVIEW

When it's time for the curtain call, some people have enough respect to bow out gracefully.
This blog author published over 1,000 posts over five years, and when it just didn't feel right anymore he shut it down with a sign off post. Pretty good way to go.

Israel's crimes against Lebanon

Some blogs can be very politically charged.
Whether you agree with the politics or not, you can't against the fact that self publishing gives people an easy way to get their message out to the internet for anyone to see.

SPANISH FORK CLASS OF 2004

Some blogs are merely placeholders, or areas to gather people together in a space on the internet.

Looks like this blog was a gathering place to get alumni from a specific high school all to share info with each other.
There are eleven other blogs of the same ilk, all set up for their individual graduation year.

Odds are these people all found each other, then ended up on facebook or somewhere else and left the blog in the empty internet space.

THE PLAYLIST

Sometimes good ideas start out as blogs, then move on to other sites. The Playlist was a very active blog for 8 years, with thousands of posts, but then the site moved over to indie Wire.
